Goobit Group AB (publ) has worked with bitcoin in Sweden since 2011 and is one of the earliest players in the Swedish market. The company was listed on Nasdaq First North Growth Market in May 2021 and has been listed on NGM Growth Market since December 2023. The share trades under the ticker BTCX.

Business

BTCX is the group's exchange service, where individuals and businesses buy and sell bitcoin. More than 250,000 customers have opened an account since the start. Since August 2026 the company executes customer orders instead of trading against its own bitcoin inventory, which reduces the company's price risk.

Futureproof is a savings platform for bitcoin, gold and interest-bearing assets that the group is developing. Trading and custody of digital assets are provided by Kvarn Capital, which is authorised under MiCA. The waitlist is open at futureproof.money.

Regulatory status

On 2 July 2026 the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority rejected Goobit AB's application for authorisation under MiCA. The company has appealed the decision, which is being examined by the Administrative Court in Stockholm. Goobit AB continues to operate while the appeal is examined.

Gustav Buder, Chief Executive Officer. Co-founder and former CEO of the fintech company Paytrim, most recently Regional Partner at Bybit.

David Leeb, CMO. Former CMO of Safello and Nordic Head of Marketing at Bybit, founder of IW Edition.

Arnar Vidarsson, CFO. Five years as CFO of Tellusgruppen, with a central role in its 2021 listing and eight acquisitions, previously Senior Analyst at Danske Bank.

Sreten Peric, CTO. Tech lead with more than 15 years as a software engineer.
