Jan Tibbling is appointed as adjunct member of the board in Goobit
The board of directors of Goobit Group AB (publ) has decided to appoint lawyer Jan Tibbling as an adjunct board member until the next general meeting, where he is proposed to be elected as an ordinary board member by the shareholders. Until October 2022, Jan Tibbling was chief prosecutor at the Swedish Economic Crime Authority (SECA), where he was, among other things, responsible for bitcoin and criminal exchange issues as well as international collaborations.
Jan Tibbling has extensive experience in AML issues combined with a deep understanding of blockchain and cryptocurrencies. Jan will be able to contribute directly in the board work to further strengthen Goobit's AML work and to develop Goobit's operations in Sweden as well as internationally.
"This addition to Goobit's board will strengthen our platform BT.CX as well as our new product AML-Desk which is aimed at companies and financial institutions that want the absolute latest in AML for digital assets and cryptocurrencies. It is in the company's vision to make bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies safer than regular bank transfers," says Christian Ander, CEO and founder of Goobit Group.
Jan Tibbling studied law at Stockholm University and obtained his law/bachelor's degree in 1990. He obtained a master's degree in European studies at the Catholic University of Leuven in Belgium in 1994. He became a lawyer in 1998 and has been an assistant at the Court of Appeal for Upper Norrland in 2003 and served as secretary at the Labor Court. Between 2004 and October 2022, he has been active as a prosecutor at the Swedish Economic Crime Authority (SECA), since 2017 as chief prosecutor. He is an international money laundering expert and has served as an assessor for the FATF in Paris. At EBM, he has been responsible for, among other things, bitcoin and criminal exchange issues as well as international collaborations.
